Ellie lost her first tooth. I mean she REALLY lost it. On the playground at her school. In the dark.
On Sept 26, Jeff and Ellie were at back-to-school night. Afterward, Ellie wanted to play on the playground for a while. When suddenly, she realized that her tooth was gone. Ellie and Jeff (and a few volunteers they convinced to help them) looked for the tooth, but finding it in the dark proved impossible.
So, Ellie wrote the Tooth Fairy a note when she got home to explain what happened.
And put the note in the pillow that Jeff used for Tooth Fairy visits when he was a child. The little pillow went under Ellie’s pillow and in the morning, she had $5 (more for a first tooth), some fairy sprinkles, and a note from the Tooth Fairy herself.
Apparently, this sort of thing happens all the time.
